This Enhancement modifies
MRP Generation to use the Item Warehouse Detail File’s Economic Order Quantity
(EOQ) as a divisor.
This
enhancement expects that a 1:1 relationship exists between an Inventory
Warehouse and an MRP Warehouse Group; the Warehouse Code and the Warehouse
Group must be the same value.
Installation
Installation must be done by a
trained Martin & Associates representative. Once
installed, this modification is active for All companies that use MRP – there
is no data conversion or setup required.
Operation
MRP Generation demands against
Standard Warehouses for items with procurement types of ‘Buy’ or ‘Subcontract’
can produce an ‘order’ action. This enhancement changes the result of the
‘Quantity Buy’ calculation on these ‘order’ actions so that the result is
always evenly divisible by the ‘Economic Order Quantity’. (Standard MRP
compares the result of the calculation for ‘Quantity Buy’ to the Economic Order
Quantity and ensures that the result of the calculation is greater than or
equal to the Economic Order Quantity.)
